I am a DSA qualified driving instructor with several years of experience. I make it my priority not only to teach you to drive but hopefully pass your test first time. Being extremely patient is very important, having a good sense of humour is an added bonus and I think enjoying your lesson will improve your progress.

To qualify as a driving instructor is not an easy task. Every instructor has had to pass three examinations that have been implemented by the DSA. The first is a theory exam, the second is a driving ability test and the third is a teaching exam. These examinations are very stringent to ensure every successful Instructor is of a sufficient standard that is required by the DSA.

Having years of experience is a definite advantage, especially when teaching a nervous pupil. Being calm and constantly reassuring a nervous driver will not only put them at ease, but accelerate their progress. I believe the success of any business is a satisfied customer, and offering patient expert tuition will undoubtedly give us this result. After all, word of mouth is the best form of advertising there is.

The length of time it takes to pass your test varies from person to person. Structured tuition means we work through a syllabus which covers every area of the driving test, from junctions to the turn in the road. How quickly the syllabus is covered and test standard is reached depends on the individual’s ability and the amount of tuition they receive. Accelerating your progress is highly recommended, either by taking hour and a half lessons or receiving an intensive driving course which are available on request.

Intensive driving courses are available on request, the amount of tuition you need depends on whether you have had any previous driving experience. Some driving schools just quote a set price without assessing your driving, this can often mean you pay and receive more tuition than actually required. At Premier you will be properly assessed before you are told how many lessons are required. The intensity of the course can then be planned between the instructor and you.
